Magnificent Spring
The arrival of spring is such a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be. I’m very fortunate that my spring garden is currently full with pops of colour and alluring fragrance (thank you kind Freesias!).
When I planted out the garden many months ago I was oblivious to the fact that there was going to be a flower shortage in NZ, needless to say I’m delighted that I have been able to gather these beauties from the garden and hopefully transport you to a place of comfort and cheer. These gorgeous spring blooms provide an eclectic mix of textures and delicate charm, one cannot help but be mesmerised by their striking presence.
As you know, I love antiques! When possible I like to include dearly treasured pieces within my shoots. In this case I was excited to use my grandmother’s intricate hand-painted teacup, painted in 1926 by Xenia Stewart - it is an elegant piece, and the perfect vessel to house the equally graceful Pansies.
Enjoy the magnificent beauty of spring!
