Styling Dreamy Pink Roses For Special Occasions

Pink Roses 002 (2).jpg

When choosing pink roses, I often like to choose shades that I consider ‘Dreamy Pinks.’ They are soft and delicate, and look timelessly elegant contained in white, crystal or silver vessels.

The history of pink roses is wonderful - they were the very first to be cultivated, as they’re the most common colour in the wild. These timeless beauties now come in such a vast array of colours, textures and sizes that it’s very easy to create impressive displays with minimal effort. Bunches of roses with a few carefully curated accent flowers or greenery is also an easy win for a dinner party or special occasion.

One trick is to use roses of various varieties together. David Austen and Garden roses are my favourite, and I combine them with classic Standard roses - the contrast between flower types is simply divine. Add the smaller Spray roses for even more depth.

When it comes to vessels, I love to create the appearance of beautiful blooms spilling out into the room. Try jugs - they’re a good size for medium bunches, and spend time finding a larger vessel for that statement piece. My statement vessels are usually from Ralph Lauren.

To get your hands on beautiful roses for Christmas or other special occasions, try searching for wholesale flower or rose suppliers in your area.

These images have all been shot at my home over the last few months, and some will feature in my upcoming 2020 book.

Enjoy xx
