The Gift of Nature

The simplicity yet vibrancy of this delicate moss is a delightful reminder of how nature can fill our hearts with joy. As we enter another week of lockdown here in Auckland, I feel it’s important to observe and enjoy the beauty that surrounds us in everyday life.

There is an abundance of moss in my lawn, and admittedly for some time I have been trying to conjure a way in which we could remove it - thankfully, that never happened! With the current distribution of flowers being halted, I’ve somewhat enjoyed foraging and finding ways to create a little magic purely from the environment within my garden.

The whimsical beauty of moss is such a joy to work with. I was equally excited to catch sight of these stunning tulips hiding in the corner of my garden, with exquisite perforated pink petals they offer a dazzling contrast to the lush green moss.
