Delightful Easter Decorations
I have been busy creating some delightful Easter themed ideas to share with you.
Every morning I crack open a few free range eggs for breakfast...yes, we eat a lot of them! As Easter approaches I take extra care when cracking the eggs open, meaning I selectively crack them, and attempt this with careful precision. Some are used for vases and others for votives. For the eggs with a wider opening I use a small two-hour burning candle, whereas others are more suitable for a single bloom.
It is also useful to have egg cups to place the egg shells into. Prior to using the shells I wash the inside with a little dishwashing liquid and leave to dry on paper towels. The shells are extremely delicate, so ensure you handle them with care.
I love to create inspirational yet easy decorative ideas for every occasion, and as always try to repurpose items I have on hand. These cute bunnies sitting on moss (from my garden), are placed inside clear glass jars - these jars are amongst my favourites, yoghurt jars from Lewis Road Creamery, they make adorable place-setting markers.
Another fun and gorgeous idea is to create adorable little egg hats! The hats in this image were made from a paper towel roll. I drew the design with a pencil directly onto the roll, then used scissors to cut them out, finishing with a fine layer of silver paint.
The sweet wooden eggs are from Amazon (they look quite realistic, don’t you think!), and are simply placed upon a bed of moss into cute seed raising pots from my local garden centre.
Have fun creating delightful Easter items to decorate your home!
With love,
Sandra xx
