How I Make Delicious Iced Chocolate
I’ve shared my favourite Hot Chocolate recipe before, but what about Iced Chocolate?
As we head into summer here in New Zealand I love to whip up this chocolate treat. Despite its name, this recipe doesn’t use any ice but in fact uses ice cream, and turns chocolate milk into an elegant beverage using the very best premium ingredients.
Ingredients
1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (I use Lewis Road Creamery Three Vanillas)
Chocolate milk (I use Lewis Road Creamery Chocolate Milk)
2 tablespoons double cream (I use Lewis Road Creamery Premium Double Cream)
2-3 marshmallows
Generous sprinkling of grated chocolate (I use Valrhona 70% cacao)
Dash of cinnamon (optional)
Side of Lindt chocolate balls (optional, but recommended!)
Recipe
First, lightly whip the double cream and set aside. Pop a generous scoop of the vanilla ice cream into a tall glass. Fill the glass with the chocolate milk, leaving a little room at the top for your delicious decorative ingredients.
Add 2 tablespoons of whipped double cream, along with marshmallows and a generous sprinkling of dark chocolate. At this stage you can also add a dash of cinnamon.
These delicious drinks are enjoyed with a side of Lindt chocolate balls!
Enjoy xx
