Soft Bunnies and Golden Eggs - Our Easter Lunch
Our Easter lunch this year was very different to previous years. Traditionally we would host a lovely celebration with 8 to 12 friends, and the table would be overflowing with flowers. However this year it was just my family and I, yet it’s still very special to share this occasion with those dearest to me. I always think “don’t be afraid to make every occasion a special occasion!”
My garden provided a beautiful array of stunning Dahlia’s which I incorporated into our table. Dahlia’s create such softness, a dreamy and delicate touch. In these images I feel they complement my Easter theme nicely, they somehow disappear into the background yet still jump out with a tonne of magical beauty.
I also had tremendous fun this Easter creating and painting my own giftwrap. For a number of years I’ve used the Martha Stewart range of acrylic craft paints. The metallic colours are amongst my favourites, I used the Gold and Sterling colour palettes to paint this paper. A helpful tip - don’t worry about the stripes being perfect, let your brush run out of paint, a little imperfection creates uniqueness. Also remember to cut your paper to the required size before commencing the painting process.
I hope to spend more time painting and creating over the coming weeks, and look forward to sharing the results with you.
Take care x
