An Autumn Dinner at Home

As we step into autumn, it’s the perfect time to utilise some of the beautiful natural elements from my garden.  Due to Covid-19 we remain in lockdown, however this provides a wonderful opportunity to prepare a lovely family dinner, and a reason to dress our table with these beautiful tones.

At this time of the year these soft autumnal hues bring a touch of both summer sunshine and winter warmth into my home.  As you know, I love to use candles! These light boxes are such a simple yet effective way to ‘frame’ a collection of candles, and also create a non-obstructive centrepiece.  By placing candles within, you will bring a spectacular touch of glistening golden sparkles to your dining room. These particular light boxes are part of the Artwood collection from JI Imports here in New Zealand.

When having a family dinner I also like to incorporate special treasures.  On this occasion I decided to use some beautiful silver cutlery, which belonged to my father. He purchased it over time whilst visiting London and would collect it in place settings, such a superb idea!

I hope you enjoy this autumn shoot.  Continue to keep safe and well during this time, and remember to bring those extra little touches of beauty into your lives and into your home.
