Stickers and Postcards

I’ve always loved gift giving - the ritual of taking time to carefully and beautifully adorn a well-chosen present or to handwrite a small card is all part of the giving process for me.

To make a gift look special and a little more polished, I usually opt to use at least 3 elements when wrapping. Alongside paper and ribbon, I love additions like florals, small ornaments, cards or decorative stickers, so it was a natural fit to produce my own set of beautiful stickers and postcards once we completed the publishing of Dreaming In Petals.

Choosing the images was fun… I enjoyed thinking about the imagery, shapes and design that would add colour and interest to wrappings. 

I have to admit that when they arrived I was absolutely delighted, and with Christmas just around the corner, it wasn’t long before I spent a few hours playing and experimenting with ways to incorporate them into my gift-wrapping and giving!

One of my favourite uses so far has been to add them to preserving jars; the striking colours of the florals look so wonderful against the rich jam and a little extra decoration certainly elevates homemade fare into an elegant gift or addition to the table. My next plan will be to incorporate a few as pantry labelling - why not be greeted by a little further beauty when opening the pantry cupboard!
