While We Wait...

It’s nearly November and traditionally we (those with roses) get to witness the biggest flush of the year.  The once dormant sticks that make the garden look barren and unpleasant during the winter suddenly burst into all their glory, showcasing the voluptuous, often fragrant blooms that we fellow gardeners fuss over for months on end. 

These divine flowers are like high maintenance friends who we end up doing everything for, but when they smile or walk our way we buckle with excitement - roses demand our attention and we love giving it to them.

I must admit that the beautiful roses pictured are commercially grown, they are wonderful because you can have a whole bunch, not just a single bloom. They are all perfect and on the odd occasion provide us with a divine fragrance….oh, and those colours! Don’t you just want a bunch? So yes, I am unfaithful, but believe I have enough love for both! What about you?
