Woodland Beauty For The Winter Solstice

As we move towards the winter solstice, it was a wonderful opportunity to mark this occasion and enjoy a feast by candlelight. We are now also in level one in New Zealand, so it seemed fit to celebrate with a long overdue gathering with family and friends. You can see a collection of the images below.

Winter is probably my favourite season, although I love them all for different reasons! The availability of flowers throughout winter is limited, however the warmth and depth that can be created with candlelight only enhances the simplistic beauty of these woodland tones.

As always I like to include little treasures or elements within my shoot’s that I have obtained over the years. The gorgeous Tellurite Glazed Majolica Casserole Dish is a vintage piece from Belgium that used to belong to my mother, and dates back to the 1930’s.
