Delicious Cocktails

As we head into true winter here in Auckland the days are short and the evenings rather chilly! It’s the perfect time to sit fire-side, and inject a little warmth and joy into ones evening.

It is the quintessential opportunity (and excuse!) to have a little fun and create gorgeous cocktails with some of my favourite local products. Scapegrace is my go-to for vodka and gin… and I was excited to find them a new best friend for this shoot! Feast your eyes on this charming bottle of Aperitivo Botanical by Terra Sancta - I simply adore the label.

In the gorgeous martini glass (from Ralph Lauren Home) is a classic martini - I’ve replaced the vermouth with Aperitivo Botanical, and apart from being exquisitely delicious, I love the delicate pink prettiness of this cocktail.

The second cocktail presents itself elegantly in Riedel glassware, and is a shot of Scapegrace vodka, a shot of Aperitivo Botanical, along with orange, raspberries and plenty of ice - and should you wish, a sprig of thyme to gracefully garnish. For a variation, combine Aperitivo Botanical with a splash of mineral water and little wedges of fresh orange - these simplistic flavours are delightfully refreshing. Enjoy!

Everything came together beautifully for this shoot. I was fortunate to also obtain these glorious vibrant roses, and coincidentally had treated my family to some delectable macarons - the colours in each element work together beautifully.
