Pink Afternoon Tea

In keeping with this month’s Pink Edition, I recently hosted a beautiful pink themed high tea, as part of my ‘Winter Afternoon Tea Series’ in collaboration with Harney and Sons.

Dusky, soft shades of pink blended together, their lightness creating a gentile softness that seemed the perfect compliment to tea and treats to enjoy!

To begin, I served two variations on traditional green tea, Cherry Blossom, with it’s light cherry flavour and a lovely Coconut Green Tea.

Accompanying these gorgeous offerings from Harney and Sons, I served rose, vanilla and pistachio macarons - their light as air texture fitting well with the subtle flavours in the tea. To finish, I served a selection of Lewis Road Creamery ice creams.

Roses were the perfect floral element and to add depth and nuance to the arrangements I used a combination of different rose shades and shapes. Doing this, it gently showcases their exquisite differences in a way that’s still cohesive and creates a beautiful overall look.

Here I paired together a collection of light salmon and baby pink sweet avalanche roses with sweet porcelina spray, the pink tipped Faith and Van Lier Nurseries newest rose, the beautiful Montmartre. Montmartre’s creamy, deep colour adding a slightly vintage, Parisian feel.

Pansies and zinnias from my garden even snuck their way into the arrangements to give small accents of colour.

Have you thought about an afternoon tea yet for this Winter?
